Scientific Anglers Fly Lines: Two-handed Series

Two-handed Premium Fly Lines

Whether you’re swinging soft hackles for trout or throwing Intruders for steelhead, the SA Two-Handed lineup has exactly what you need. From our Spey Lite lines to the Skagit and Scandi lines, we have both of your hands covered.

SA Two-Handed lines feature the SA•ID line identification tool, our AST slickness additive, as well as welded loops for easy switchouts. Some even feature the textured Audible Reference point or our SONAR sinking technology. No matter what your two hands are fishing for, SA has the line that will get the job done.

Integrated Switch

The Integrated Switch was created out of the need for a fully integrated switch line for long casts into the wind and waves of Nevada’s Pyramid Lake. It’s design incorporates shooting head, running line, and floating tip into a single integrated line system.

Features:

  • Floating Indicator rig line for modern 10.5-11.5’ switch rods
  • Designed to carry and turnover large indicator rigs with mutiple flies
  • Larger diameter running line for easier handling with cold hands and fingers
  • High Contrast Sighter at the rear of the head identifies the perfect overhang
  • Braided Multifilament Core
  • For use in Moderate and Cold Climates
  • SA ID – SA INTGRTD SWITCH XXX GR (XXX = grain weight)

Skagit Short

The Skagit Short is designed to pair better with shorter Spey rods or when an angler needs to wade deep. This allows the angler to maintain a good D-loop even when the distance between the rod tip and water is shortened..

Features:

  • For use in cold to moderate climates
  • Shorter head length for use with short spey rods or when wading deep
  • Designed to be used with sink tips for targeting steelhead and salmon
  • High contrast sighter at the rear of the head identifies the perfect overhang
  • Braided multifilament core

Skagit Floating

We have a completely redesigned our Skagit head series. Leaving the traditional, level-belly Skagit tapers behind, our new lines are fully tapered from end to end. This provides the smoothest power delivery from the rod, through the line, to the tip, and ultimately to the fly. We have painstakingly optimised the tip diameter of these heads to cover a broad spectrum of sink tip lengths and weights. No matter what you attach to the end, this line will deliver it accurately with authority.

The floating head is available in a visible, but not obnoxious, sky blue color. The back of the head is identified with a black band that contrasts well with bright colored shooting lines.

Features:

  • For use in cold to moderate climates
  • Compact, powerful design with fully tapered belly for consistent turnover and accurate delivery
  • Designed to be used with sink tips for targeting steelhead and salmon
  • High contrast sighter at the rear of the head identifies the perfect overhang
  • Braided multifilament core
