Trout love Blowflies! Lots of foam high floating and easy to see on the water. Tied on a Tiemco 2488 wide gape fine wire hook. This fly needs a fine wire hook by nature and whist I have had some trophy sized trout bend them a little I have never had one break.

This is a colour variation of a fly design I carry in 3 different colours. This one has a brown body. Pretty effective dry fly in its own right but with the added feature of a foam underwing it can float a size 12 or smaller tungsten bead nymph if a dropper is required. Tied on a Tiemco 9300 1 X Heavy Gauge Dry Fly hook.

I usually trail this fly behind another dry as it is very hard to see on the water. When fished in tandem with a dry search pattern it's phenominal how often fish prefer the tiny ant to the larger search pattern. Tied on a Tiemco 9300 1 X Heavy Gauge Dry Fly hook.

Woomfah Black

This fly evolved very slowly over a number of years and I carry them in black and olive. For those of you who have been fortunate enough to get into some good cicada fishing you will know how crucial it is to have a good pattern. It doesn't matter what you throw because the fish will eat pretty much anything as long as it is big. The key to this pattern is the short shank, wide gape Tiemco 2499SP-BL barbless hook. Fish have a tendancy to fall off long shanked hooks with a very narrow gape.
