Folstaf Wading Staffs

Folstaf Collapsible Wading Staffs

The industry standard since 1970, Folstaf wading staff provides extreme ‘third leg’ support for anglers in rivers and streams.

The Folstaf Company is a small, family-owned business specialising in fly fishing and walking products for outdoor needs. They began in 1970 when, as dedicated catch-and-release anglers active in environmental conservation, they started designing and making equipment they needed for their own fishing. Now in their 50th year they are still a small, family owned-and-operated company bringing you the highest quality wading and walking staffs. The family’s second generation of Folstaf® makers now serves a second generation of Folstaf® users and every Folstaf® is still handmade by us in New York, USA.

Constructed of aircraft-grade aluminium, Folstaf wading staffs fold to only 10 inches in length - then open instantly to full size. Designed and engineered to snap together the second you need them using swage and flare joints that fit securely together, forming a rigid staff. A super-hard carbide tip ensures a secure bite on slippery rocks. All Folstaf wading staves come with a leather belt holster so that wading safety is always at hand.

Folstaf is the recipient of Fly Rod and Reel Magazine's 'Product of the Millennium' Kudo Award.
